What’s Your Story?

The secret behind what we do lies in one word: story. Stories are captivating. Stories are engaging. Stories pull the viewer in and make them care for the people they are viewing. Every organization has some nugget of their identity that we can grab onto and run with to make a powerfully compelling story. But there’s more to it than just telling an engaging story.

What’s Your Objective?

It doesn’t matter how beautiful the imagery or how engaging the story if key objectives are not met. You need to be confident that your investment of time, talent and resources will achieve the requisite business results.

We’re more than just visual storytellers, we’re experienced brand marketers, business leaders and project managers. Our management team brings over four decades of combined experience working for everything from world-renown brands like Apple and Intuit, to industry genre leaders in Hollywood. We combine that real-world business acumen with our artistic gifts to provide our clients with objective-oriented marketing and video campaigns.

Knowing the Audience

The key for any successful video production designed to communicate a brand is knowing the client and knowing the client’s audience. DDM Creative Director Ron Dawson’s 20+ years in business as a marketer serves DDM’s clients well. Often times clients or their production companies make the mistake of creating something designed to be all things to all people. That is a sure-fire way of creating a potentially ineffective production. We gather information about the client and its audience, then use that when determining the best approach to telling the client’s story.

Arms Length Collaboration

We work closely with our clients to communicate their vision, sharing and presenting ideas up-front, and getting input throughout the process. We work best with clients who give us room to use our extensive filmmaking experience and creativity to create the best production possible. We’ll take all the collected input to produce something we feel will best achieve the intended objective, allowing clients to provide feedback afterwards on the submitted project. Ultimately, we want you to be happy with the results and confident it’s ability to do the intended job.

Distribution

Just because you build it, does not mean they will come. We therefore assist clients in the social media and online distribution of the video where applicable. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: setting up video sharing accounts (e.g. Wistia, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.); determining the best distribution platform for the client’s website; creating HD versions of video optimized for web playback at the highest possible quality; providing assistance and tips on social media distribution (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
